May 25, 2018 Bridge Point Elementary MRS. MEEK'S WEEKLY MESSAGE Dear BPE Families, WE MADE IT! Happy Summer to you all. It was another amazing year and I'm so proud of our students, staff and community for making the 2017-2018 school year a huge success. This truly is the best school in the world. I hope you find time to rejuvenate, recharge, and relax with your family until we see you again in August. On behalf of Kathy Dean, Tricia Pate and the BPE staff we want to share the following message to thank our May Madness volunteers: May Madness 2018 was a huge success!! We want to recognize the May Madness committee of hard working dedicated moms! This year, the committee co-chairs were Katherine Nichols and Jennifer Skinner. Along with the dynamic duo was Suzie Prince, Amy Zinn, Shelley Nelson, Tricia Bragg, Elisabeth Carrell, Kathleen Huff and Hospitality was Ashley Washmon. We also want to thank the Zinn Family for sponsoring our May Madness t-shirts this year and a huge shout out to the Booster Club for their support in making May Madness the best event that it could be! Lastly, we couldn't possibly run an event as big as May Madness without all the parent volunteers. We appreciate your time, support, and help. We can't thank you enough! Happy Summer to all! Before backpacks are tossed to the side for summer and tennis shoes are replaced with flip-flops, we want to let you know that ALL EISD students will need their SMART tag ID badge on the VERY FIRST DAY of school. That means digging the SMART tag ID badge out of the backpack and storing it somewhere safe and sound for the summer is a top priority for Friday afternoon. All EISD families are receiving notice of the following procedures/expectations: Students are required to maintain their SMART tags from year to year (from kindergarten through senior year). The first replacement card is FREE. Any subsequent replacement cards are $5.00 each. Specific to Bridge Point: If a replacement card is needed between now and the first day of school, please email Amanda Downy at adowney@eanesisd.net. New students do NOT need to request a SMART tag. The BPE office team will print new and replacement badges over the summer. These badges will be distributed to parents at Bobcat Welcome in August. As always, we are committed to improving safety and efficiency for all EISD students. We sincerely appreciate your support and patience as we introduced SMART tag ID badge AND Dismissal Manager this school year. Lastly, it was brought to my attention from our Booster Club that school supplies and spirit wear deadlines coming up quickly on June 8, 2018. Please note the reminder from Booster Club below. All my best, Heather Meek BPE NEWS Booster Club
