MRS. MEEK'S WEEKLY MESSAGE

Dear BPE Families,

Proof of Residency for ALL Rising 6th & 9th Graders is Coming Up!

On Monday and Tuesday, April 1 & 2 from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm a team will be at Bridge Point Elementary to collect proof of residency for all rising 6th graders.

While every rising 6th grader must prove residency, you are not required to attend this opportunity specifically. There are several chances to turn in residency around the district.

Residency Verification from 7am-3pm:
April 1-2: Bridge Point Elementary
April 3-4: Eanes Elementary
April 8-9: Forest Trail Elementary
April 10-11: Valley View Elementary
April 15-16: Cedar Creek Elementary
April 17-18: Barton Creek Elementary

Residency Verification from 8am-4pm:

April 22-23: Hill Country Middle School
April 24-25: West Ridge Middle School

The district is requiring the following verification:
1.  Current signed lease with ALL occupants listed (including student), deed or contract, mortgage statement or most recent tax receipt

AND

2.  Current utility for the property in the parent/guardian's name (electric, gas or homeowners/renters insurance)

If residing with another family in Eanes ISD, the following is additionally required:
Affidavit of Residency completed by BOTH the guardian and the homeowner, signed and notarized in the presence of an Eanes ISD Notary Public. Affidavits of Residency must be completed at Central Administration located at 601 Camp Craft Road. Affidavits are only valid for one school year and need to be re-signed each year in front of a notary at Central Administration by both parties.

Have a great weekend,

Heather Meek

BPE NEWS

As you may have seen on the news, the flu season is in full swing. Please take the time to read the following to ensure our students are healthy and our school environment is safe.

As a precaution, and as is custom this time of year, our custodians are working hard to disinfect common surface areas such as water fountains, rails, restroom surfaces, doorknobs, etc. and keeping restroom areas stocked with soap and paper towels.

If your child has a fever (100 degrees or higher) or is vomiting in the evening or morning before school, he/she should NOT come to school that day. Students with a fever should remain home fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medications such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen. Please report communicable diseases such as strep and flu to the nurse as we would like to continue to track our illnesses/absences.

Please see the following information on the flu with helpful reminders to share with your student(s): goo.gl/uMKU8u.

Thanks for all you do at home to keep our students as healthy as possible and in school!
