Innovation

Those who implement a creative or innovative program, teaching method, cost-savings, etc.

Ian Chambers, 5th-Grade Teacher
Mr. Chambers is so creative in his approach to teaching and working with his students. He uses music to teach science concepts to his SI students. One time he went out to the football field in the evening so he could dance and sing and just "get in the groove" for a lesson. Every day there is a movement element to his class. It might be a game or a lesson in prey and predators. He frequently changes the attention signal so the students do not get complacent with it; Deer Ears, Clapping, Hi Ho, you never know what he will come up with. On top of all this, he is such a wonderful person for adults and students to be around. His positive attitude spreads to others and he inspires us all to be better educators.
