Eanes ISD
Special Education Program Review
Last spring, Eanes ISD commissioned a comprehensive review of its Special Education program. The review included an examination of quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of sources, including classroom observations, structured interviews with key leadership, focus group meetings with multiple stakeholders, a five-year longitudinal review of district statistics and much more.

School Safety & Health Advisory Committee Report
Members of the School Safety & Health Advisory Committee (SSHAC) presented their annual report for the 2018-19 school year. The group focused on social-emotional learning this year, as well as health and safety topics such as nutrition, vaping and the district's newly adopted Standard Response Protocol.

Eanes Bond
Bond Oversight Committee & Bond Planning
The Board heard an update on bond planning, including a preliminary timeline for new construction. Discussions also included the formation of a Bond Oversight Committee. Look for more information in August on how interested community members can apply for the BOC.

Salaries & Benefits Update
After months of discussion, the Board adopted the 2019-20 budget, which includes a 4.5% of midpoint salary increase for all employees. While the increase will put the District into deficit spending, trustees spoke of the need to remain competitive with area school districts, who are giving between 3- and 7-percent salary increases.
