ASHLEY RILEY
Ms. Riley brings a wealth of experience in instructional leadership and campus administration, along with a deep commitment to student success and building strong school communities. Before becoming Principal of Bridge Point Elementary, she served four years as Assistant Principal at Cedar Creek Elementary, where she played an integral role in supporting students, staff and families while helping lead campus operations and instructional initiatives.
Prior to her role as Assistant Principal, Ashley served as both an instructional coach and classroom teacher, giving her a strong foundation in curriculum, instruction and educator development. She is passionate about fostering staff excellence, building strong family partnerships and maintaining high standards of instruction aligned with district vision and community expectations.
Ashley is a graduate of the Institute for Excellence, the Eanes ISD administrator development program and was honored as Cedar Creek Elementary’s Teacher of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year.

JOELLE BARNES
Mrs. Barnes has over a decade of experience as a special education teacher for grades K-5 and a classroom teacher for 4th and 5th grades, fostering a strong commitment to meaningful inclusion and differentiated instruction for every child. She established the special education program at the newest Austin ISD elementary school, selecting curricula for math, reading, and writing, implementing positive behavior support systems, and leading a team of 10 educators to align student needs with campus and district goals. Passionate about supporting novice teachers, she leads campus-wide mentoring focused on building relationships that enhance teacher capacity, authority, and autonomy. Recognized with the EANESpiration Heroes Award in 2025 for going above and beyond, she has also been a Teacher of the Year nominee multiple times, highlighting her dedication to creating a supportive and inclusive school environment.
